Next Saturday?

Christmas Decorations

So I'm coming home on Saturday the 5th, and mom said that would be a good time for me to get to put up some holiday decorations, because I'm not really going to be home until late on the 23rd. Brad and I will actually probably stay at his parents house on the 23rd and come to our house the morning of the 24th. So my question is: who's around this weekend that I'm going to be home? And if you're not really going to be around, what would you prefer I didn't put up because you want to be a part of that? I don't want to do anything that someone will feel left out from. Obviously we won't do the tree if everyone isn't around. I'm guessing that'll be something you guys do one weekend and I'll be on skype (Molly, I'll need you to put my angel ornament higher than Aidan's and Erin's). But is there anything else you guys want to put up yourselves? I was thinking I'd work on the lights on the outside of the house, probably the stockings, maybe a small Christmas tree or two?

Christmas 2011 Presents for Mom

Let's start a list. I already have a few things. Some cute cereal bowls she liked at Crate & Barrel, and a colorful pitcher for water or sangria or whatever (she'll probably turn it into a flower pot) that I found on sale at Bed, Bath & Beyond yesterday. Other ideas? I was thinking about the suggestion that we take a family day trip or weekend trip somewhere, and that she might really like a trip to Mackinac Island sometime next year. We could plan that as a family ahead of time (maybe end of April or early May near her birthday?) and all make sure we have that weekend off. We could book the bed and breakfast and everything... let me know what you guys think. And comment with stuff you already have and other ideas! I'm open to anything.

First day meeting!

Hey Guys,

Today we mainly talked about this blog, the Gmail calendar, and Christmas mainly. Aidan and Deirdre took notes. First ever E-Chat/Skype KK!!!

Christmas: We are just beginning to form a plan for Christmas. Deirdre and Brad I believe are trying to come home on the 21st or 23rd? They will be with the Jones' for Christmas Eve and will either be home that night or Early Christmas Morning. We also vowed no Grumpiness on Christmas Day :) . Aidan and Erin will also be home somewhere around there also. I think i get done with exams on the 20? I will have to check on that. We plan on having a Snow fun day, Christmas (obviously :D), Grandma and Grandpa, a big Schlaack, DeGarmo, and Hiashutter-Rice partttyyy, and much more. Still more work for that.

I think that is about it for our first GKK meeting. Everyone must follow!!! I will make you all authors of this blog! We will talk to each other about our agenda's and everything on this blog. That's a rule. 1.) Besides putting our agendas on the calender we must also put them onto this blog so we all will be able to see them no matter what. Thank you.
